So I spent the next few days with the aforementioned couch-surfing host, and explored a lot more of Toronto. Canada day was a slight disappointment, as we went out to see fireworks that never ended up happening, but we still had a nice time enjoying the festivities in town, and walking around in big flag capes. The next day, we cycled around a park where we got to see an amazing view of the city, and then explored around a few small things on the outskirts of the city such as a supermarket that was built from an old theater. We then finished off with a nice meal at a Japanese restaurant.
All-in all, I had a wonderful time in Toronto. I’ve only actually been here for 5 days, but between the Canada day celebrations, the stuff I got to see, and the fun friend that I made, it really felt like I got a lot from it. From here I’m going to be heading out of the city and going to Kitchener, which will be nice, as I do quite like the charm of smaller towns.
